There’s no easy way to say this…
You should never launch alone.
It takes so much energy and time to pull off a six- or seven-figure launch, that to assume you can do it alone will leave you falling short of expectations every time.
Wondering who is a right fit for your next launch team?
Today I wanted to share the 5 types of people and support I think you need on your team to pull off a successful and stress-free launch.
More than anything, you need a strong shoulder.
The most important piece of support to find for your launch is a biz buddy. Or a community where you can share your struggles and triumphs.
Sometimes our friends and family love us, but don’t really understand what a launch is (or how you’re even finding clients on Facebook).
It’s so important to be seen, heard and understood when you’re launching that support from another entrepreneur or a whole community.
My go-to community is the Conquer Club with Natalie MacNeil.
It’s such a powerful and supportive community of women entrepreneurs at every level of business. They’re my go-to when I need emotional launch support!
Get some virtual assistance.
There’s a ton of day-to-day management and implementation that needs to happen during a launch.
While you as the business owner should be responsible for the content creation, you don’t have to implement the content.
Hiring a VA who will put the emails in MailChimp, or will manage your social media and engage with your fans during the launch.
Outsource the strategy of your launch.
There’s so much to choose between launching with a webinar, or a three-part video series, or using a challenge… it can be hard to know what to choose!
That’s where a Launch Strategist can come in to help take the “thinking” about the strategy of the launch off of your plate.
Plus, they can manage the rest of the team and help to implement advanced systems and funnels to automate your launch.
Don’t forget to support yourself.
Self care is essential during your launch, so add a masseuse or nail tech to your launch team!
Schedule time off for yourself during the middle and at the end of the launch to force you to step away from refreshing your Paypal looking for new sales.
And because you have the rest of the team to handle it, you know your launch can proceed without you needing to be in it every day.
As your launch grows, add in some specialists.
The other team members I’ve mentioned can be brought on any time, but if you’re going for a six- or seven-figure launch, bringing in specialists is ESSENTIAL.
This is a great time to bring in graphic designers for your sales page and social images, a copywriter to write the sales page and sales emails, and even someone dedicated to just running the Facebook ad campaigns.
When you’ve got a well-oiled team, you can focus on just being present during your launch to go the extra mile, do Facebook live videos, host extra webinars and more to build the buzz about your launch.
Leave a comment below and let me know which team member you’ll commit to hiring for your next launch!
This is such a great list, Jessica! I especially like having a strong shoulder to lean on — because you’re so right, friends + fam really don’t get it — and to schedule some time for yourself. Launches are hella stressful and penciling chillout time in your calendar is so important…but most people skip that step.
You have such a gift for taking messy launch strategy and making it clear and easy-to-digest. This blog post is just another complication you simplified. 🙂
Thanks so much, Whitney!
